The prehistoric experience

1936, the beginning of speaking movies. The childhood of the relation between sounds, voices and moving pictures. Kenji Mizoguchi shot his first speaking movie, "The sisters of the Gion" in Kyoto. A story about Geishas with 12 characters.
From this movie, I just keep the sound which inspire the script of a new mute movie shoot on Kyoto. This mute movie, matrix of The prehistoric experience, present 12 characters with no actions, waiting for voices and stories.
Each screening is accompany by a live commentary on cinema theaters. Each interpret gives is own story on the mute movie, with is own language and his own subjectivity. The prehistoric experiment is a movie in progress. A narrative experience depending to the screening contexts.
